Because Love has Fur
Piper- Pipes, Piperoni, Piperoni-roo. My fur baby!
Daisy-Daze, Daisy May, Crazy Daisy. My fur sister!
If you know me, you know this: I will greet a dog before I greet a person. If there’s a cat in the room, good luck getting my attention. And if I ever hit a squirrel with my car, I’ll cry like I just lost a cousin. Animals have always had my heart. I’m that girl who pulls over for turtles—helping them scoot across the road. Ewww. They’re cute, but I ain’t touching it. Teetee has boundaries.
But when it comes to shelters, it’s even deeper. I’ve seen too many babies with those eyes that say please love me. Shelters are full of them—waiting, hoping, surviving. And those shelters? They need all the help they can get. My family knows it firsthand. My parents brought home their dog Daisy thanks to the shelter, and I found my baby girl Piper there too. Without that place, I wouldn’t have two of the most loyal, ridiculous, snuggly ladies in my life. They aren’t “just dogs”—they’re family.
So here’s the lore: part of this raffle goes right back to the shelter, because love deserves a second chance. If you can, rescue. If you can’t, donate. And if you can’t do either, at least stop for the damn turtle—because you better believe Sis and Bubs would.
